Common questions

Where is my data?

Only on your phone. Eat First has no accounts and no cloud sync. Use Settings → Export backup to save a copy, and Import backup to restore it.

A barcode wasn't found.

Product names come from Open Food Facts, a community database, so some products are missing. Type the name instead. Eat First remembers it for next time.

Are the dates and nutrition facts accurate?

They are estimates. Shelf-life suggestions come from public USDA guidance and nutrition facts come from Open Food Facts contributors. Always check the package and use your own judgment.

I'm not getting reminders.

Turn on the daily reminder in Settings, and make sure notifications are allowed for Eat First in the iOS Settings app.
